Decorating Inspiration From My Mailbox

Did you all enjoy your Labor Day weekend? My parents came for a visit and we had a great couple of days with the highlight being a day trip into NYC on Sunday for the six of us to see The Lion King (which was amazing!). Then I did a 180 on the fun factor and spent a chunk of Monday doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, and working my way through our ever-growing stack of mail.

In that stack were new fall catalogs from some of my favorite stores and there was some serious decorating inspiration to be found in those pages. I was especially blown away by the Williams-Sonoma Home catalog - the styling of their products is gorgeous! Decorating the top of a long chest or console can be tricky and I was so inspired by the beautiful layered styling of these spaces:

(and pssst, Mr. Driven by Decor, it wouldn't stink to get that charcoal chinoiserie vase in the first pic for my birthday :)

I also came across some inspiring gallery walls - this one is so chic and could be easily replicated inexpensively using IKEA RIBBA frames and DIY black and white art:

I'm loving the more organic feel of this dining room gallery wall:

as well as this Pottery Barn gallery wall stunner with art arranged on shelving (what a great use of the space between two windows!):

Z Gallerie provided some great tablescape inspiration - I'm a sucker for natural elements!

And Serena & Lily wins the award (hands down) for best color inspiration - this image just seals the deal that I must have have a room with navy walls in my life:

And look at how fabulous these green drapes look in an otherwise neutral room - it's got my wheels spinning (and can we just take a moment to look at those pendants - swoon!):

And if I ever decided to do full-out color in my kitchen, it would look something like this - so cheerful and fun!:

From the catalogs that I paged through over the weekend, this fall's shaping up to have tons of home furnishings and accessories to get excited about. Have you been finding lots of fall favorites too?
