Simple Summer Styling with Hydrangeas

With our front yard bursting at the seams with hydrangeas, I've clipped enough blooms to fill up pretty much every vase in the house.
My favorite spot for flowers is on our entryway chest (which you might recognize from the dining room in our old house where we had a small bar area set up on it). After adding a huge bouquet of hydrangeas to it earlier this week, I was inspired to change up the rest of the accessories on the chest too. Summer in our house is too busy for elaborate decorating so I kept it simple:
The star of the show is the ginger jar that I scored while antiquing in OH with my mom last week - it's bigger than it seems in the pics and adds some much needed color and pattern to the space:
The other accessories are ones that I snagged by shopping my own house. The mirror, magnifying glass, and wood elephant are all past HomeGoods finds:

Did you notice the blue and white bling that my wood elephant is sporting? Yep, he she is strutting her stuff with a fabulous new leg bracelet:
Because as soon as my oldest daughter saw the newly arranged accessories on our foyer chest, it was quite clear to her that something was lacking. Jewelry for our elephant of course. Thanks to my daughter, we now have the most stylish elephant in town. :)

P.S. If you (or your elephant) want your own beaded tassel bracelet, you can find the simple DIY tutorial {here}
