I'm juggling a slew of projects at my house right now - too many really. They're all coming along but at a snail's pace because of all the traveling, kids sports, and general goofing off that we've been up to this summer. One of the things I'm working on is finally getting some art up on the walls in our kitchen. Our eat-in area has one large blank wall and a narrower wall to the right of it that are in dire need of some color. I hung up an oil painting that I found at a consignment store a few months ago just to get it out of the way but the future plan is to incorporate that piece of art into a gallery wall that covers the large wall and continues around the corner to the small wall on the right. I'm planning for it to be a gallery of oil paintings and have been collecting them from consignment stores, thrift stores, and flea markets for several months now. Hopefully by the end of the summer I'll have found enough art to put my corner gallery wall together.
In the meantime, I thought I'd share some corner gallery wall inspiration with you. I love the look of a collage of art that continues around an inside corner and would be thrilled if mine turns out half as well as the galleries in these inspiring spaces: |

I've also got plans for a gallery wall in our home office in the space above our Craigslist credenza (remember, it's {this one} that you all were so sweet in helping me decide what to do with - did I ever tell you that I decided to leave it as-is?). Anyway, I'm planning to do an entirely different type of gallery wall in that room but the details of that will have to wait for another day. For now, I'm trying to stay focused on the kitchen with the hope of finishing up my hunt for inexpensive oil paintings by the end of the summer (fingers crossed).
I'll see you back here on Wednesday when I've got a great giveaway starting - can't wait to show you some of the beautiful things the giveaway winner can choose from! Until then, have a great start to your week!
