Best of the Nest July Link Party!

Happy Friday my friends! I can't believe that it's already August - I have to say that I'm kinda sad to say goodbye to July. We went on some great summer trips and the weather in Connecticut has been absolutely gorgeous. And remember my rattly little vegetable garden that I asked for advice on back in May? It's bursting full of cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, and herbs which is very exciting stuff for someone who has no gardening skills whatsoever.

There's something about having fresh flowers in my home that adds a little extra happiness to my day but not when that cheerful arrangement starts drooping after a day or two. With a yard that's bursting at the seams with flowers this summer, I've tried all sorts of tips and tricks for keeping my bouquets alive longer and found some that really do help - I've put together my favorite tips to share with you {here}.

Pam worked her thrifting magic again and managed to pull off a beautiful summer refresh of her family room by spending a whopping $13 on Goodwill finds. Betcha can't guess which two of her accessories were snagged from the shelves of Goodwill - you can see more of Pam's space and check out if you were right {here}.

Lisa @ Shine your Light

Lisa found a small unfinished cart at a yard sale with a plan to use it as an outdoor beverage stand but after her husband said he'd love it for setting down platters next to the grill, she moved on to plan B and created this amazing deck cart. She shares the step by step instructions for making it (including her smarty pants method of transferring the graphic) {here}.

Jennifer @ Dimples & Tangles

Jennifer finished off what is definitely my favorite boys room of all time - it's amazing! It was a labor of love with DIY project after DIY project, my favorite of which is that fabulous plank wall. You can check out the rest of the space (the gallery wall is a must-see) {here}.
