It's week 2 of the One Room Challenge at Calling It Home - if you caught my week 1 ORC post then you know that I took on the challenge of transforming my tween daughter's bedroom over the course of six weeks. This week, the major progress on her room has been paint! Bye-bye lilac walls, hello Sherwin Williams Lucky Green!
I kinda panicked when I first opened the paint can because it looked so bright green and the first coat looked pretty day-glow awful. But after the third coat (yes, third), it looked totally different. I love it!
I also made some progress on finding fabric for bed pillows. And it was totally by accident. I posted on Instagram about finding these cute napkins at the Juliska outlet to use on our Easter table,
and after comments from Jennifer and Carla (thanks girls!), I threw my new napkins up against my daughter's duvet to see how they look. Perfect! So guess who ran back to the outlet for a few more napkins?

That's it for me this week - the next thing I'm working on is glamming up the ugly flat closet doors - these IKEA pulls, gold spray paint, and some molding are part of the plan:
