Somehow we're almost at the end of the April even though it feels like the month just started. This time of year is always crazy busy at our house because within a single month we have Spring Break and celebrate our anniversary, three out of our four family birthdays, and Mother's Day. I managed to squeeze in a small house project or two in April but it was a quieter month for me on the DIY front - how about you? Quiet or not, it's time for you to pick out your favorite project of the month and link it up to Best of the Nest!
As usual, Pam, Lisa, Jennifer, and I will kick off the party by sharing the best projects from our nests:

Pam has been working all month on sprucing up her dated kitchen and after seeing a few glimpses of the projects she's working on, I can't wait to see the final reveal! One of her kitchen projects is an inexpensive update of her backsplash tile with paint - hop over to her blog for Pam's tips on how to paint stone tile and to see the "before" to this "after":
Lisa @ Shine your Light
Jennifer @ Dimples & Tangles

Lisa is one of the most ambitious, creative DIY gals I know - after deciding that a vanity table was needed in her teenage daughter's bedroom, she didn't just run out to the store to buy one. She married a small shelving unit that she already had with an inexpensive IKEA top and some DIY legs to create the perfect DIY vanity table. Hop over to her blog to see how she did it!:

Jennifer hosted Easter at her home this year and she outdid herself with this gorgeous table setting centered around a beautiful decorative bird cage - I'm still dying over it! And did I mention that she created a second table setting in her kitchen? You can see both of her Easter table settings in their full glory {here}.
So now it's your turn to show us the best from your nest - whether it's a DIY project, a room makeover, a craft, or a fabulous new recipe, if it's your favorite thing you've done around your nest this April, we want to see it! And when you link up on one of our blogs, your link will show up on all four of them.
Not a blogger? You can still join in the fun! Enter through Instagram by using the hashtag #bestofthenestparty and tagging at least one of the link party hosts:
Kris (@drivenbydecor)
Pam (@pamsimpledetails)

or upload your "best of" images to Pinterest and link back to them using the linky tool (tutorial {here}).
And just a few reminders:
- Link to your specific post, not your home page
- Only one link per person to your best work of this month (April '14)
- Spread some comment love! Visit and comment on at least two other links in the party
- If you're linking up from a blog, link back to the Best of the Nest with a text link or button link:
- Be sure to stop back by next Friday when Lisa, Pam, Jennifer, and I will each feature some of our favorite links from the party! For those linking from blogs, only posts that have a link back to Best of the Nest will be considered.
