My Favorite Spring Catalogue Finds

So I was going to have a fun little spring project to share with you today but over the weekend I once again fell victim to the domino effect. Please tell me this happens to you too. I was simply going to change out the ceiling light in our home office for my new brass beauty. A 30 minute project, right? But after removing the old fixture, I found the piece of ceiling it was covering was cracked and a different color than the rest of the ceiling. Since the footprint of the new fixture is smaller than the old one, I would need to patch and paint it.

But after testing out the can of ceiling paint the old owners left behind, I found that it didn't match the ceiling color in our office.

So I decided I needed to paint the entire ceiling.

Which meant I should really fix the cracked caulk at the top of the crown molding.

Oh, and the office ceiling continues all of the way through our foyer.

So it has turned into a several day project of cutting out old caulk around the crown molding of the office and entry, recaulking, patching & sanding the area under our old light fixture and repainting the office and foyer ceilings. It's taking just a tad more time than the 30 minutes I had planned...

But enough of boring ceiling talk. Let's talk spring! Has your mailbox been overflowing with spring catalogues lately?
