Magnifying Glasses as Decorative Accessories

Over the weekend I was doing some online shopping on Nordstrom.com (you know it's their half-yearly sale, right?!), and I stumbled across these killer magnifying glasses:
Nordstrom sells home decor items? Who knew? After getting several emails asking where I found the magnifying glass sitting on one of the drum tables in our guest room (HomeGoods!),
{Driven by Décor}
I thought I'd pass on this Nordstrom find for you poor souls who are HomeGoods-deprived. And it looks like Nordstrom's free shipping and free returns policy for their clothing also applies to their home decor - love that!

So where would you put a decorative magnifying glass in your home? Think about placing them on top of stacked coffee table books,

{Savvy Southern Style}
{House Beautiful}
{Elle Decor's Modern Life Concept House via Sacramento Street}
{Calling it Home}
using them to style your bookshelves,
{Design Indulgence}
or adding them as an accessory on your desk:
{Lonny}
{Houzz - Martha O'Hara Interiors}
There are so many interesting magnifying glasses out there for not a lot of money. Some sources other than HomeGoods and Nordstrom are World Market, where you can find this Glass Horn Magnifying Glass

and this Turtle Magnifying Glass (that I really, really want!),

Burke Decor, which sells these
Sealife Magnifying Glasses

and these Carved Handle Magnifiers,

and Jayson Home, which sells these darling Petite Magnifiers:
You can also find vintage magnifiers at flea markets and on Etsy. So what do you think - is a magnifying glass going to be on your 2013 Christmas list?
