We're enjoying a beautiful fall weekend in Connecticut - changing leaves, chilly mornings, and roadside stands filled with pumpkins!It's the time of year when my husband gets working on his annual pumpkin carving. It's become a bit of a family tradition. For the past two years our girls have picked out their favorite pumpkin carving stencils and my husband, master pumpkin carver, gets to work. Our dog-loving daughters first had him carve a Boston terrier:followed by last year's pug:but this year I think they're branching out to something different. It's a topic of hot debate. If the choice were mine, I'd have him carve a large pumpkin with a tall, curvy script monogram: But mom has no say on this one. The top contenders from our girls are currently a Toy Story Alien Pumpkin Carving:because they love these little three-eyeballed guys:

because my youngest daughter is obsessed with Dave:There are loads of free pumpkin carving stencils online including some really, really cool ones. And they actually aren't as hard to do as they look.
