Creative Craft Room Storage

After moving into our house this past summer, the first room that we tackled was the small kid-sized "office" upstairs - I turned it into a colorful craft room where my girls spent the summer drawing, sewing, scrapbooking, you name it.  And while they don't have time to use it as much since school started, it's still a favorite weekend spot!
My daughters and I are Michael's junkies so the craft supplies are always multiplying, as is the need for more storage. The only space left for adding storage in the craft room was this small wall that's to your right as you enter through the kid-sized door (nice light switch and outlet, right?!):
I hadn't given much thought to what I could add there but it turns out that I didn't need to because one of my brilliant readers, Celeste, did the thinking for me. You may remember that a few weeks ago I brought this wooden numbered display box home from Target but I couldn't decide if I should hang it in my kitchen or take it back: 
That's when brilliant Celeste chimed in with the suggestion to "use the numbered box in your crafting area with mason jars filled with crafting stuff like buttons, ribbons, markers, etc." Celeste - you rock. Any guesses as to what just got added to my girls' craft room? You got it! 
The large mason jars fit perfectly and they hold quite a bit of stuff including thread,

washi tape, 

colorful striped twine,

flowers for embellishing scrapbook pages,

as well as rubber bands, letter stamps, and ribbon. I kept the metal screw bands on the jars but left the lids off so everything in the jars is easy to get to:

And thanks to my father-in-law, we now have a new, much less scary looking switch and outlet on that wall:
