Wondering why I haven't posted any pics of our house in a while? Well... it's a freaking mess. After we moved in three (three already?!) months ago, my plan was to redecorate our house room by room but somehow that plan went out the window and I have several rooms torn up at once - that's just my MO, as inefficient as it may be. So for the past several weeks, my time has been consumed by removing wallpaper, removing the wallpaper paste (hateful job), spackling, sanding, and painting. Not exactly blog-worthy stuff.
I'm wrapping up the painting of the kitchen eat-in area and getting close to having my dining room walls prepped for painting so pretty soon it'll be time to move on to the fun stuff. For one of the walls in the dining room, I'm planning something I'm really excited about - a decorative plate wall. I'm going to use some of the Juliska plates I bought at their recent warehouse sale, including a mix of white and patterned plates like these inspiring walls:

or limit your display to a single pattern and color,
or go all white:
I've been playing around with some different wall plate designs and think I'm going with this one:
I chose to do a symmetrical design because I think it fits best with the more formal feel of a dining room. But I've gotta get rid of these blue walls first...
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
